As we lean into our sixth year, we are doubling down to ensure that all the pieces are in place to embrace the next – and exciting – chapter in the life of Cohere. For starters, Cohere has a new CEO, Todd Hornback. There is no one better prepared for this leadership position.
By now most of you have heard the story of Cohere and how four colleagues, buoyed by passion and a deep belief in our work, seized an opportunity and became entrepreneurs almost overnight.
While we have never claimed to have all the answers, we have always shared a steadfast commitment to ask hard questions, push boundaries, and never settle for less than we are capable of.
In five years, we have learned and grown a lot. And we have so much more work to do in service to our mission.
Our entrepreneurial bones have made us nimble – able to dig in when necessary and pivot when called upon. We have galvanized our position as a trusted advisor and valued partner with clients across five states. We have been willing to collaborate and pioneer unique opportunities that have opened the door to new markets and promising growth.

What’s ahead in 2023
For starters Cohere has a new CEO. Todd Hornback has stepped into the role, providing both the vision and leadership to guide Cohere into the future and continued focus on development of new business opportunities.
There is no one better or more prepared for the position. Todd is an evangelist for our work and our clients look to him for advice, solutions, ideas and inspiration. We know Todd as the keeper of the Cohere flame – the one who reminds us of our WHY if we happen to drift. He carries the torch and lights the way for all of us.
Suzanne will focus on optimization of systems, processes, and infrastructure aimed at efficiencies and scalability of best practices. Combined these disciplines will ensure we are ready for the next phase of growth and Suzanne’s ultimate exit from day-to-day management, which will occur over the next 18 months.
Barefoot will continue to lead all things brand, communications, marketing, and culture. Chad will continue to focus on corporate and community operations, legal, and risk management.
